Hearing the call from the community, the Black Forest Community Club chartered the Backyard Farmers Market in 2020 as an outreach program. The vision of this outreach is to act as a separate vessel where the community can engage as vendors, shoppers or volunteers. Located directly behind the Community Club, the seasonal market is meant to highlight vendors located in Colorado and continue to foster a community spirit. With hope of supporting each other through volunteerism and provide an outlet for everyone in the forest to participate in, from our Young Entrepreneurs to our partnership with the Black Forest Arts and Crafts Guild. We encourage you to find out more information about the Black Forest Community Club below.
The Black Forest Community Club was chartered in 1929 as a social organization for families living in the Black Forest north of Colorado Springs. The club, which has 134 member families today, occupies a unique, community-built log building at the corner of Black Forest and Shoup Roads that is over 80 years old. The club has been the site of many events over the years including Black Rose Society concerts and many local clubs. The Community Club also sponsors Boy Scout Troop 70 and Cub Scout Pack 70.
The Black Forest Community Club is available for rentals for all occasions. Please visit our website here.
